Young Kang & Soochan Lee
Soochan’s dancing career began with street dance in 1991 before transitioning to swing dance in 2002. He began his career as an instructor in 2004, and is well-known in Korea’s many dance communities as one of the forerunners of the swing dance scene. In 2005, he became a professional swing dancer, devoting all of his time and energy to honing his skills and promoting dance in Korea and abroad. Since becoming a professional dancer, he has given countless lessons and made substantial contributions to the growth and development of swing dance.
Since 2008 he has been invited to dance and teach around the world, in many different cities and countries across 5 continents. In 2014 he added another first to his list by being the first Korean dance teacher at Herrang Dance Camp, an internationally renowned swing dance camp. In 2017, he established the Triple Crown Swing Dance Academy to bring swing dance to a wider audience. The academy is located in Seoul, Korea. At present, he is actively engaged as a dancer, instructor, and judge, both nationally and internationally, and working to promote swing dance both domestically and internationally. His incredible energy and enthusiasm in the classes, spread to anyone his love for the swing.
Young began her dancing career as a jazz dancer in 2000 before making the switch to swing in 2005. Since then, she has continued to enhance her dance education through a variety of styles of dance including ballet, tap, and belly dance, and has taken up yoga. In 2007, she made her debut as a swing dance instructor. Since 2008, she has participated in and choreographed many performances and events including the Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden, the ULHS, Camp Hollywood, the ESDC, Lindy Focus, and Camp Jitterbug. Since becoming a professional swing dancer in 2015, she has been working as a dancer, instructor, and judge, actively promoting and sharing events and many other projects in various dance communities both in Korea and overseas.

La carrera de baile de Soochan comenzó con “street dance” en 1991 antes de la transición al baile swing en 2002. Comenzó su carrera como profesor en 2004, y es conocido en las muchas comunidades de baile de Corea como uno de los precursores de la escena de swing. En 2005, se convierte en bailarín profesional, dedicando todo su tiempo y energía a perfeccionar sus habilidades y promoviendo la danza en Corea y en el extranjero. Ha dado innumerables clases y ha hecho contribuciones sustanciales al crecimiento y desarrollo del swing. Desde 2008, ha sido invitado a bailar y enseñar en todo el mundo, en numerosas ciudades y países de los 5 continentes. También fue el primer profesor de baile coreano en Herrang Dance Camp, el campamento de swing con el mayor renombre internacional. En 2017, abrió su propia escuela de swing “Triple Crown Swing Dance Academy” para llevar el swing a un público más amplio en Seúl, Corea. Su increíble energía y entusiasmo en las clases, contagian a cualquiera su amor por el swing.
Young comenzó su carrera como bailarina de jazz en el año 2000, pasando a dedicarse al swing en 2005. Desde entonces, ha continuado mejorando su educación en danza a través de una variedad de estilos de danza como ballet, claqué, danza del vientre y yoga. En 2007, llevó su baile a la enseñanza y se convirtió en profesora de swing. Young se ha unido a varias compañías de baile desde 2006, siendo además la principal coreógrafa y coordinadora de la compañía “Night and Day”, un competitivo equipo de actuaciones swing desde 2011. Desde 2008, ha participado y coreografiado muchas actuaciones y eventos que incluyen el Herrang Dance Camp en Suecia, el ULHS en Nueva Orleans, el Camp Hollywood en Los Ánlgeles, el “European Swing Dance Championships” (ESDC) entre otros muchos. Desde que se convirtió en bailarina profesional de swing, ha estado trabajando como bailarina y profesora, promoviendo y compartiendo activamente eventos y muchos otros proyectos en varias comunidades de danza tanto en Corea como en el extranjero. Dulce, elegante y una magnífica profesora, estamos deseando tenerla en Valencia de nuevo!
